DAY CAMP COUNSELOR

Under the supervision of the Day Camp Manager the Day Camp Counselor will provide games and activities in a safe manner throughout the summer months. The Day Camp Counselor must have the ability to work independently and under the general direction of the Day Camp Manager and the Superintendent of Recreation. The Day Camp Counselor must exhibit professionalism while performing daily activities; must be 16 years or older; must be able to work summer months May – August and must be available to work weekdays between the hours of 7:30 am – 5:30 pm.

This is a part-time classification II hourly position starting at $15.00 / hour.  

AQUATIC CENTER CONCESSIONAIRE/CASHIER

The Geneseo Park District is searching for Aquatic Center Concessionaires/Cashiers. The Aquatic Center Concessionaire/Cashier must have the ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with other employees, demonstrate ability to handle money quickly and accurately, remain organized and in control under fast paced working conditions, and problem solve in an intelligent, effective manner. The Concessionaire must be 16 years or older; and must have or be able to successfully complete the Illinois Food Handling Certification.

This is a part time position and is approximately 10-30 hours per week. Work is performed at a self-controlled pace but may vary depending on the demands of the job required. This is a part-time classification II hourly position starting at $15.00 / hour. 

AQUATIC CENTER LIFEGUARD

The Geneseo Park District is searching for Aquatic Center Lifeguards. The Aquatic Center Lifeguard is responsible for performing a variety of duties to prepare the pool for the demands of the group that is present. The Lifeguard must be at least 16 years of age and must have or be able to successfully complete, Starguard Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid Certification or the equivalent. This is a part time position and is approximately 10-30 hours per week. Work is performed at a self-controlled pace but may vary depending on the demands of the job required. The Lifeguard is required to participate in monthly training sessions to demonstrate knowledge or ability to perform work activities, as well as keep their certification current.

This is a part-time classification II hourly position starting at $15.25 / hour

ATHLETICS ASSISTANT

The Geneseo Park District is accepting applications for a part-time Athletics Assistant at the Geneseo Community Center. The Athletics Assistant will be responsible for all aspects of program implementation. This includes taking direction from the Athletics Lead, talking with patrons, teaching and reinforcing skills, and providing constructive feedback. The Athletics Assistant primary role is to instruct our patrons in a safe, effective, and positive manner. The following programs have Athletic Assistants: Soccer, Golf, Tennis, Running, Pickleball, Basketball, Volleyball, Flag Football, Track & Field and other athletic programs as assigned.

The Athletics Assistant is a part-time position working under 2 - 5 hours per week. This is a part-time classification II hourly position starting at $15.00 / hour.

GYMNASTICS ASSISTANT

The Geneseo Park District is accepting applications for a part-time Gymnastics Assistant at the Geneseo Community Center. The Gymnastics Assistant is responsible for providing leadership assistance for participants of all ages. The Gymnastics Assistant is responsible for performing the duties as outlined in this analysis. They assist the Gymnastics Instructor with a minimum of 6 to a maximum of 25 participants. Work is performed at a self-controlled pace but may vary depending on the demands of the job required.

The Gymnastics Assistant Instructor is a part time employee working under 20 hours a week. This is a part-time classification II hourly position starting at $15.00 / hour.
