The Geneseo Park District understands that a full year membership does not work for everyone. There are 2 short term membership options: 6-month and 1-month Community Center memberships. These memberships grant you access to the amenities at the Community Center only. These memberships are not eligible for Program or Business Membership discounts or payment plans. 6-month memberships are subject to the $75 non-resident fee.

STRATEGY SESSION: As part of your membership, you have received a Strategy Session that includes a Fitness Orientation, a Fitness Assessment, and a Fitness Consultation. This is all at no cost to you! When you complete the Strategy Session you will have a full understanding of the Cardio/Weight Room and a fitness plan – all intended to give you the tools to reach your goal/s.

NON-RESIDENT: Non-residents are persons who do not reside within the corporate boundaries of the Geneseo Park District nor pay taxes for the Geneseo Park District. How does my company become a Business Member?

  • Contact the Geneseo Park District to express an interest in being a business member.
  • Pay the non-refundable annual fee of $325.00.
  • Tell your employees that they may purchase the membership of their choice at the discounted rate during your annual year.

Business Membership Details

  • In order to receive the discount rate, your employee must show a current paycheck stub or a letter stating employment and a photo I.D. when they purchase their membership.
  • The discount rate can be used to purchase your employee’s individual membership or, they may also use the discount rate on a family membership.
  • All discounted memberships must include the employee.
  • Only one employee discount may be used per membership.
  • Payment plans are available.
  • The discount rate may only be used for annual memberships.
  • Cannot be used for 1 month, 6 month or Aquatic Center Memberships. 
  • No adjustments will be made for memberships already purchased.
  • All memberships will be subject to the current refund policy which is, half of the unused portion minus a $5.00 service fee.

PAYMENT PLANS

The Geneseo Park District offers three easy payment plan options...

1 - PAY Pay the full amount owed at the time of purchase. All major credit cards are accepted.

3 - PAY (3 CONSECUTIVE MONTHLY PAYMENTS) The membership rate is divided into 3 equal payments, which are paid the first three months of your membership plus a $10.00 service fee. If monthly payments are not paid by due dates, a late fee of $10.00 per month will be charged. Future memberships may not be obtained until complete balances are paid in full. Only available on annual membership purchase. The $10 service fee is reflected in the listed 3-pay price.

12 - PAY (AUTOMATIC ELECTRONIC WITHDRAWAL) The 12-pay plan is the only way that the Geneseo Park District can accept monthly payments for annual Community Center or Park District membership dues. This is a continuous membership plan; memberships will automatically renew on the members’ yearly expiration date. The membership price including service fee of $2 per month, and non-resident fee when applicable, is divided by 12 to arrive at the monthly payment. An initial down payment is required at time of purchase, fulfilling the first month’s payment obligation and a $25 Activation Fee. The monthly dues will be deducted from the members bank account for a minimum of 11 consecutive months. After that time, they will automatically continue until the GPD receives request to terminate from the member. Monthly dues will be withdrawn on the 15th of the month unless the 15th falls on a weekend or holiday in which case withdrawals will be made the following business day. To terminate or change the membership in any way, the GPD must receive a 30-day written notice directed to the Attention of the Administrative Assistant. Should any membership draft not be honored by the members financial institution for any reason, the membership will be suspended. The member will be required to pay the balance due plus a $5 service fee. Balance due must be paid in full, in person, by cash or credit card. This is in addition to any service fee the financial institution may make. Monthly dues will continue to be automatically deducted from the members bank account as scheduled while the membership is suspended. Memberships will be cancelled after a second consecutive insufficient funds notice is received. Memberships that are suspended and/or cancelled due to delinquent payments will receive email notification from GPD. Cancelled memberships are required to pay the past due amount plus service fees in full before future memberships may be purchased and are subject to the activation fee. Memberships cancelled prior to meeting the first 1-year commitment will be subject to the GPD cancellation policy and required to pay ½ of the unused balance plus a $5 service fee. If a membership is cancelled due to insufficient funds, future requests for payment plans will be reviewed and the Geneseo Park District reserves the right to accept or reject requests. The Geneseo Park District Board of Directors may, at their discretion, adjust the monthly rate applicable to any category of membership.

PAST DUE PAYMENTS: The member(s) will be liable for payment of all costs incurred by the Geneseo Park District to collect past due obligations. Future memberships cannot be obtained until household balances are paid in full.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE The Geneseo Park District recognizes there are community residents who may suffer, at any time, from economic setbacks that might preclude their participation in Geneseo Park District programs.

OTHER MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

The Geneseo Park District offers Business Membership Discounts. If your employer has a Business Membership, you could be eligible for a 10% discount off your annual Membership fee. Please see desk attendant for a list of current participating employers.

Terms & Conditions

MEMBERSHIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS

A MEMBERSHIP grants member(s) access to specific Geneseo Park District amenities. The member(s) is obligated to pay dues whether the member(s) accesses the amenities or not. Yearly memberships expire at the end of the month regardless of purchase date. Management of GPD may suspend or cancel, at any time, the rights, privileges, or membership of any member whose actions are detrimental to the enjoyment of the facilities. Management of GPD may, from time to time, change the rules, regulations, times, dates, hours, governing the operations of the Center. Notice of these changes will be available to members through normal means of communication.

MEMBERSHIP ACCESS: A COMMUNITY CENTER membership grants access to the Cardio/Weight Room, Indoor Pool, Indoor Elevated Track, Gym with Basketball, Pickleball and Racquetball Courts, Sauna, Activity Room Games/Activities, Cycling Room (during open hours) and 50% off Community Center Programs. An AQUATIC CENTER membership grants access to the large variety of amenities at the John and Carla Edwards Aquatic Center and 50% off Aquatic Center programs. A PARK DISTRICT membership grants access to both the Community Center and Aquatic Center amenities and 50% off all programs.

MEMBERSHIP TYPES: A FAMILY is defined as one or two adults along with their immediate unmarried dependent children (ages 0-25) residing at the same residence. Individuals are categorized in the following age ranges: YOUTH (6 months – 18 yrs); ADULT (19 yrs-64 yrs); SENIOR (65 yrs & older). Memberships purchased under false pretenses will be terminated and no refunds will be given.

A NON-RESIDENT is an individual who neither resides within the corporate boundaries of the Geneseo Park District nor pays taxes for the Geneseo Park District. A $75 annual non-resident fee will be applied to Community Center and Park District membership purchases or renewals and a $30 annual non-resident fee will be applied to Aquatic Center membership purchases.

BUSINESS DISCOUNTS: Businesses participating in this program pay an annual non-refundable fee for their employees to benefit from a discount on the membership of their choice. The amount is $325 for a 10% discount. Proof of current employment and a photo ID must be presented for a business discount to be applied. Only one business discount can be applied to a membership price and the employee must be included in that membership. The discount percentage is applied to the base price of annual memberships only. Only after the discount has been applied are service fees, non-resident fees, and locker fees added to the total amount to be paid. Business discounts cannot be used for 6-month, 1-month or Aquatic Center memberships. No adjustments will be made for existing memberships, only at time of renewal or upgrade.

LOCKER RENTAL: Lockers are available for annual rental in 3 sizes and must be paid for in full at time of purchase.

SHORT TERM MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS: The Geneseo Park District understands that a full year membership does not work for everyone. MEMBERSHIP CANCELLATION POLICY: Annual memberships paid in full and discontinued before the year is completed will be refunded on the basis of ½ of the unused balance plus a $5 service fee. 12-Pay Memberships cancelled prior to meeting the first 1-year commitment will be required to pay ½ of the unused balance plus a $5 service fee.

UPGRADE POLICY: When upgrading your membership, you will receive 100% credit of the unused portion on the existing membership which is deducted from the new membership price. A new expiration date is established at the time of upgrade. New payment plan forms will be completed at this time. No credit is applied to upgrade on 12-pay option.

MEMBERSHIPS ARE NOT TRANSFERABLE.

PHOTO WAIVER: By registering for, participating in or attending Park District programs, events or other activities, the participant agrees to the use and distribution by the Park District of his or her image. If you do not wish your household to be photographed, you will need to complete & sign the Photo Waiver form at the Geneseo Community Center.

WAIVER/RELEASE: The member(s) acknowledges and accepts the risks inherent in the use of the GPD’s services and facilities. The member(s) hereby voluntarily assumes the risk of injury, accident, death, loss, cost, or damage to his or her person or property which might arise from the use of GPD’s services or facilities. The member(s), his or her heirs, executors, representative, or assigns, hereby release the GPD from all claims or liabilities for personal injury or property damage of any kind sustained by the member while on the premises of the GPD.
