SENIOR CENTER
The Geneseo Senior Center is a place where seniors can come to fulfill many social, physical and intellectual needs. The Senior Center also offers nutritious meals, transportation, information and assistance, outreach, trips and tours, friendly visiting, counseling, educational opportunities, health services, recreation/social activities, volunteer opportunities and advocacy/social action. The Senior Center room may be rented to the general public by calling 944-3793. We are also listed in the Geneseo Chamber of Commerce gift certificate program.

Need Transportation? The Geneseo Senior Center offers a van service which will take you shopping, to appointments, and anywhere else you might need to go in Geneseo. The hours of transportation are from 8:00am- 10:45, then again after lunch deliveries til 1:00pm. Just give us a call at 944-3793. $1.50 per trip or $3.00 round trip, suggested donation. Van tickets are available for $37.50 for 27 rides, suggested donation.
500 Card Club is held the second and last Thursday of every month. Call ahead to reserve your spot at the table! We start at 1:00 pm and finish around 3:00 pm.
Use the one hour Rules Of The Road Refresher course to brush up on traffic laws before taking the drivers license renewal examination. Included is a review of traffic signs and practice test. This class is FREE and is held the 1st Monday of every other month at 9:00 am, starting in February.
Free Blood Pressure Checks are held on the third Friday of the month at 11:00am.
Lunch is served Monday through Friday at the Center for anyone over 60years old. You must call in a day ahead to reserve your meal. The cost per meal is $2.75, suggested donation, and is served precisely at noon.
Home delivered meals for home bound people are available for $3.00, suggested donation, and are delivered within a five mile radius of Geneseo. Carry-out meals are also available for the suggested donation of $3.00. For more information call 944-3793.
Davenport Hearing comes the first and third Friday of every month from 11:30 am – 3:30 pm. Please call 1-800-728-9115 for an appointment in advance. Audibell Hearing comes once a month on the first Thursday of every month from 1:00 – 3:00 pm with hearing tests conducted at the Center.
BINGO is offered the first and third Thursday of each month at 1pm. Cards are 50 cents, come and bring your friends! Prizes! Prizes! Prizes!
Exercise/Yoga class is every Thursday morning at 9am. Come early and join us for coffee! This class is free and geared especially towards Seniors, there are no floor exercises.
AARP meets the second Friday of each month at 1pm. We have many interesting programs, this meeting is open to the public.
Senior Potlucks are held on the first Saturday night of every month in the Senior Room. Bring a dish to pass, dinner starts at 5:30pm. Live music and dancing begins after dinner, about 6:30pm-9pm. Open to public, no reservations needed.
