The purpose of the Geneseo Park District's recognition program is to recognize employees and volunteers who consistently seek ways to help others throughout the park district, and make a significant contribution to advancing the Core Values and Mission of the Geneseo Park District.
This program is for employees, customers, and volunteers to recognize Park District staff or volunteers who consistently demonstrate our Core Value criteria of RESPECT.
Employees, customers, or volunteers nominate Park District staff and volunteers by completing a nomination form and turning it in to Administrative Assistant. Nominations will be collected on a quarterly basis and distributed to Board in Board Packet. If there is more than one nominee, the Board will vote on the recipient.
The recipient of the 4th Quarter “RESPECT” Award is Kyle Misfeldt. Kyle was nominated by Nathaniel Hines. Here is what Nathaniel had to say . . .
I would like to nominate Kyle Misfeldt for the Geneseo Park District RESPECT award. In his role as the Community Center Manager, Kyle has worked to improve on the computer system (RecTrac), which is much more difficult than a normal person might think.
In any job, there will be some apathetic people. People who don’t care at all about what they do, or how they do it. Kyle is not one of those people. As a custodian, he consistently goes above and beyond his duties, ensuring that the Park District facilities are not just clean, but also welcoming and functional. His attention to detail makes all the difference.
What truly sets Kyle apart is his unparalleled work ethic. Regardless of the task at hand, Kyle shows enthusiasm, thoroughness, and a strong desire to contribute to the success of the Geneseo Park District.
Whether assisting with event setup, coordinating maintenance, or simply offering to help with a random issue, Kyle consistently demonstrates a team-oriented mindset that enhances the overall experience for both staff and visitors.
In addition to his exceptional work as a custodian, Kyle's dedication to his role as Community Center Manager reflects a deep understanding of the Park District's mission and values. His genuine concern for the well-being of those he serves, makes him an exemplary candidate for the Respect Award. He treats every individual with respect, which reflects brightly on the Park District as a whole.
Overall, Kyle exemplifies the qualities of a truly outstanding Community Center Manager and custodian. His hard work, dedication, positive attitude, and respect for others make him an ideal candidate for the Respect Award at the Geneseo Park District. I am proud to nominate Kyle Misfeldt for the Geneseo Park District RESPECT Award.
